After graduating, my everyday regime consisted of waking up, logging onto my email, and surfing the internet for any possible job openings. After months of having no real luck…of course its easy to become discouraged. But after talking with friends and family I have learned that its more important to not be picky about jobs and instead look at it as experience.

However, I’m still not convinced to going into sales positions. To me I find it hard to talk to people about a product/service unless I absolutely believe in it. I know there are plenty of people out there who can talk to thousands of people praising their company’s product/service but not really believe in it…they do it ultimately to make money. I can’t do that…it goes against my values and principles.

So long story short, I CANNOT do sales, UNLESS I believe in what I am selling. So I suppose I am still being picky in that aspect BUT I don’t think its healthy to take a job you absolutely hate. To force yourself to be surrounded by so much negative feelings will not be worth it in the long run. Yes you may be making money but my advice to you is to NEVER force yourself to do something that goes against your beliefs and values simply to make a buck.
